Yeah, you're right about the softness Howie. And to think that I had a companion carrying my tripod all day... it was just laziness that prevented us from actually using it! :)

Hermoso paisaje nublado!
Felicitaciones!

Great shot , this brings back memories ? I scanned a few shots I took some 15 to 25 years ago overlooking the Struie and at Baile an Or in the UK .. I would love to go back with my Digital equipment now and retake them . .. If you have a chance stop by ..

FABULOUS shot, Phil. It's SO GREAT!!! i love the colours & tones you've captured here & your composition is really dyamic. A wonderful lead into the piece with the path in the foreground & then the hills disappearing into the mist in the background. The angles of the hills add a wonderful drama to the piece & where you've chosen to place the tree in the photo works incredibly well - not centred, but not too far off - perfect. A stunner. Just beautiful!

Thanks so much Jennifer! It's so nice to have the digital camera; I took about 200 photos over the weekend despite the weather not being great, whereas I might have only taken about 20 on film and might not have got this one! :)

Phil McLean   {K:11523} 11/8/2004
Thanks Tim, don't worry about not commenting or responding as often as you'd like, I feel the same! There is just too much great stuff here on usefilm to keep up with! :)

Kadri    {K:2720} 11/8/2004
absolutely wonderful!! tones, composition - all is so good!

Jim Greenfield   {K:5212} 11/8/2004
this is one of the nicest shots I've ever seen you do. It is well composed but most of all it is very moody. My first impression is that it is soft but its dreamlike feeling makes it less of an issue to me.

Gertrud Gozner   {K:14222} 11/8/2004
moody capture!

Walter Scarella   {K:17720} 11/8/2004

Yeah, great shot, I like the softness, gives it a dream-like quality. Wonderful warm colours, perfect composition.

Cliff Rosbotham   {K:2905} 11/8/2004
Stunning and exceptionally beautiful image Phil. For me it epitomises what the Highlands really are, peaty, rugged, isolated and alluring.

Great shot Phil,
and although it looks a bit too blurry for my taste,
i like colors and composition here.
cheers

Giorgio
