Its a little soft but the colours are amazing :)

captivating image, Zach. The soft focus is surprising. Did you set the focus manually on infinity or use the auto-focus? For night shots with the focus at infinity, auto-focus does not always work well. Regards, Mister Ken

Thank you for the comment, I had the lens on Manual focus set for Inf. i am thinking the wind shook the tripod a wee bit.

Wow! The colors are so beautiful! I have always wanted to see one of these in person... do you get it a lot where you live? ANyway, Great job capturing it's beauty! :)

Hi Zak

Super colours. Seen here in the UK too (54deg North). I always use manual focus when shooting at night and stop the lens down a couple of F's just to make sure my subject is in focus. Congratts.

Beautiful colours, Zach!

Wow. Did you take alot of pics? One thing I noticed was when I would shoot ten pics in a row they were all drastically different. The first time I saw the northern lights I was on the highway, I pulled off in the median and just gaized at the sky until it was done. Thanks for your comments. You've done a great job with your pictures.
