I'm surprised you used a warming filter AND Velvia on this! But perhaps the natural light was very cold... Nice to see an Xpan shot, John. As you may know, I'm playing with a toy camera! Very different, but almost as much fun! (at least more excuses for not getting things right...)

Do you think the Warming filter is to much? IT was overcast and I find that a warming filter oft times helps to compensate for the natural tendancy of film to be a bit cool...

I don't think that the warming filter is too much... this has a really nice tone to it... but it's not overpowering with reds.
I like the sprinkle of yellow leaves throughout as well... they add a nice splash of colour.

I have very little recent experience with slide film, and none with Velvia. I bow to your professional instincts! I think a mobile "toy" camera is just about the ideal digital camera for me. No temptation at all to abandon film, but opens up new areas of enjoyment... I shot my first macro this morning! Later...

I now own use and love my Microtek 120tf medium format scanner which happens to have a carrier and software for the xpan image size. It that choice is to expensive the Epson 4780 or 4870 flatbed scanner is a good solution.
