Yes,you are so right...you don't know how much!!!
2 years ago a man jumped into the enclosure ...only to be eaten!!!Not the most comfortable way to commit suicide....and the polar bears were shooten.
Now they have a new preserve...and new polar bears...

@ Thilo:es ist wirklich etwas aussergewöhnlich,wenn die Eisbären auf Dich zugeschossen kommen,und dir sozusagen die 'Pratze'geben.Faszinierend..und ich glaube,ziemlich einmalig .Eventuell ein Zoo in USA hat sowas ähnliches.Warst Du noch nie im Tiergarten?Wie wärs mit einem 'mini meeting' :)
Ich könnte Dich führen...ist seeehr weitläufig...und man kann sich verlaufen ;)
