About I hope you don't mind, but this is another for my friend, Roland. I went to see him today ~ it will probably be the last time I see him this side of 'the bridge'. But he has nothing to fear ~ and he knows it! He knows what's on the other side, you see! In fact, His best Friend is waiting to welcome Him. He's my best Friend, too, and He's told us that all will be well. (See John 14 v's 1-3)

Best regards to all and thank you so much for all your thoughtful comments. they're much appreciated!!

Chris

You're right, of course, Merete!
And there was a big lump in my throat as I said a final prayer with him and then hugged wife wife and daughters!
It's certainly a sad time for them, just not as hopelessly sad as it could be?
Thanks!
Chris

Don't mind at all, How could you have anything else on your mind.
Nice shot and continue to take lifes " meter readings " off of heaven and the pictures will always turn out.

You know Chris , I feel like I know Roland through You and I know the prayers of everyone are being answered in GOD'S way!And that lump in Your throat, well You gave it to Me also. And I think that lump is God's way of showing His love and compassion and in HIS time We will all walk across the bridge..........

I'm struggling to find words that haven't already been said Chris. It is the ones left behind that carry the pain and I know your Faith will help you through.
Best wishes to you all.

Chris, The photo is lovely, but the sentiment and the story are very touching and sad. I'm happy to read that your friend Roland knows our Friend, Jesus. Our prayers are with you and Roland's family. One day, all those who have made their peace with the Lord will be together. That is the blessed hope. -- Debby

Fadel J   {K:13605} 11/11/2004
Sorry to hear that Chris! my prayers goes to him and the family. This is such an emotional photo and you are such a great friend (rare to find these days!).

Kristina Kohut   {K:49990} 11/15/2004
The photos you have taken for Roland has such sad undertone... but same time so beautiful! I think it somehow mirrors it how you feel you want to say to him that the best is yet to come. A very beautiful photo with lights and darks, and the bridge between.
