About Thanks for joining me on this stroll around the lake at Stourhead ~ I hope you've enjoyed it. I've got a feeling that I'll be taking you back there before too long, as I still have about another 20 shots that I haven't uploaded, but I thought that was enough for now?

I finish with one of my favourites ~ I hope you like it too.

The Roland story has ended too. He died at 2a.m. this morning. I'm just glad I travelled up to see him yesterday!! We haven't 'lost' because we know where he is! But it will probably be a little while before we see him again. Who knows! His best Friend (and mine) has promised to come back! Could be any day!!

Best regards to all!

Chris

I'm sorry to hear your friend has passed away last night. Guess hes on the next path of experience, one that we all fear for some reason. I'm sure he is in good hands. All the best to his loved ones here on earth.

Warm regards, Tim

A very lovely shot; nicely framed by the trees; good foreground; colors are very intense; good depth of field showing 3 dimensional.

Congratulations on a beautiful picture!

Sorry to hear about Roland, I hope his memory will remain with you and perhaps some of your images will remind you and his friends of shared moments.

This image is great - nice composition and great shadows contrasting with the soft light. A fine tribute.

I'm so sorry to read this news Chris. Roland reached out and touched many people around the world that he'd never met. Your pictures have been a great tribute to him.

Nice framing of this scene. Beautiful autumn colors. Sorry about your friend but it sounds as though he is in a better place now if you can't get better.. Don.

Roger Williams   {K:83282} 11/11/2004
Beautiful scene, Chris. Intense autumnal colours, lovely interplay of light and shade, excellent composition with the tree on the left framing the picture and the one on the right subtly echoing it. I trust that Roland's death will encourage many to look for the One who can help them meet their own death with such courage and grace.

Lovely photo, and sorry to hear about Roland. It is hard even when one has faith in God. We buried Jeff, the Paramedic killed in Iraq, today. Fitting on Veteran's Day. But the pastor cracked everyone up, speaking metaphorically. Our body is like a nut in a shell, he told us the shell had been broken and the nut went to heaven. And Jeff was a nut! It gave us some happy memories to look back on & smile about. I pray you & his family are able to do that soon too. My thoughts and prayers are with you. In His Peace, Dottie
