Nice Nice Nice! I love the effect here. The only (little) thing I would suggest is better lighting; you have a perfect shot here, and the emotion id conveyed wonderfully, but I can't see any eyes. To most people, a portrait is useless without eyes, and I agree with that - eyes tell us how someone feels and draw the line between assumption and assurance - your model is smiling, but could have an agressive of comforting face behind it and this is only conveyed by the eyes.

None the less, I love your ideas and you have success running in your veins, congrats.

In hindsight... Yes, I agree with you. after this was shot I wished that I had looked more closely at the image, specifically his eyes to make sure they were seen. In the future, glasses will be compensated for or removed entirely.
