About Taken in Death Valley California in a place called Badwater. A unique experience. Coming from Montreal Canada I am really used to white scenes like this one the only difference is I was shooting this wearing shorts ans T-shirt instead of a winter jacket and this was salt and water instead of snow and ice.

Absolutely gorgeous. I don't think there's much more for me to say. Well done. I'll go take a look at your portfolio now, see what other goodies you have! Great work.

Lovely to see another of your beautiful photos, Patrick. Always a great pleasure. This one has that inimitable "Di Fruscia" look. "Timecatcher" becomes more impressive every time I visit.

right on, patrick! you managed to find badwater in a state that does not occur very often. with actual water ;^) a very unusual sight and expertly captured. i love your composition with that salt growth in the lower fore as the saltpan stretches out into apprent infinity. all the while my eyes are guided by the curve of the water. i hear it calling me again....

bummer you didn't get a better sky as the clouds out there tend to severely increase the wow factor of most vistas. what day where you there? i was there on 10/2-3 and managed to get a nice shot from the boardwalk. went back on 10/30-31 but it was very hazy due to the recent rains and we didn't bother to walk out on the saltpan even though we could see plenty of water on the west side. we ended up shooting from the devil's golfcourse instead but i'm not entirely happy with the results.

can't wait to see your other shots from this amazing place. take care,
tom

This is my favorite of all your recent submissions. The foreground has such a natural geometry to it. The colors and the unusual presence of water in the desert are very striking. Great job!
