what was yuor ISO setting? I am playing around with shooting skaters and bmx riders but its inside.

Tobiah Deutsch   {K:2432} 11/15/2004
Jamie,

My ISo setting was at 100. I try to shoot as slow as possible at all times. Cleaner images resulting in larger prints with less distortion. When I shoot inside I often times have my camera on a tripod and do a longer exposure. perhaps 1/4 sec. I use my flashes to expose the subject and then let the background fill itself in. this is a good example... http://www.usefilm.com/image/584639.html
Let me know if you have questions. deutsch@uwm.edu

Cheers,
Toby

thanks I have been hand holding but I will try the tripod. I have been to the park only one time but, during the winter months I plan to spend many hours there and meeting some of the regulars to make photo shoots. I went to your profile nice work. I will proably have more questions for you later if you dont mind! take care.

I like your images Tobiah. The aerial dances are very cool, high energy and yes, poetic.
This one is a favourite. Excellent. Congrats.

Carlos,

Ariel Dancers? These are skateboarders... maybe you're being synical... I don't always catch on... Thanks a bunch for the comments I'll post more when the weather gets warmer.

Cheers
Toby

As the father of a twenty year old man I?m quite hip to skateboarders ? but the activity becomes a kind of aerial choreography ? at least that?s what I see in your pictures.

Cheers.
