About I took this shot on Sunday morning , around 6.45a.m., just as the sun peeked above the horizon. I like the way it turned the edges of the pampas grass into 'gold'.

Trying to catch up with my many friends' uploads ~ may take a well. I have 'Fun Band' tonight, so a bit more rock'n'roll. YEAH!!

Best regards to all,

Chris

It's orange..:-)

I would like to have seen more of the straws.. to me it seems odd with the wide frame in the bottom.. :-/ Something's wrong... perhaps the cropping..?? I don't know...and how could I???

The sun is stunning as well as the sky.. :-)

Take care and enjoy tonight...
Merete

PS. I better stop commenting for today..this was my third 'bad' critique for today... :-/

Hi Merete,

I know what you mean about the 'straws' ~ perhaps they do look a bit odd, floating in mid-air as it were, but the grass was a in a garden a little way away from where I was standing and there was a big fence in between!! / I still thought it was too good a shot to miss though! I'm glad you liked the sun and sky ~ and, don't worry, it wasnt' a "bad" critique! )

Best regards,

Chris

Incredible pic and a wonderful one title, I believe that the King Midas that transformed this landscape into gold was our Lord, I am very happy of knowing that you are a shepherd in a church, I am Catholic and I was until time far from God , but very recently already return to the flock and now I am a faithful believer, God blesses you dear friend. congrats from Peru. PS: Thanks for your wonderful comment, you are now in my friend list

Good eye !! Would look great framed with the other shot as a pair on the wall. DO you ever frame and display your own work at home ?? I don't ;-)

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 11/15/2004
Hi Jim,
Good to hear from you!
I must confess to having hung a few of my pictures up at home, but they're on the stair-well, which is hidden from 'public view'. I like the idea you've suggested regarding these two sunrise images ~ I may well give it a go.
Best regards, Chris

Dorothy Di Liddo   {K:13766} 11/15/2004
very pretty, calming colors. Dottie

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184981} 11/15/2004
Hi Chris, superb shot, Not only because of the strong tones, but also because of the composition, with the horizontal layout between the reed and the sun, but primarily because of the sun being lower than the tops of the reed. This one is awesome!

Cheers,

Hugo

Stephen Bowden   {K:64519} 11/15/2004

Amazing depth of colour - a fabulous composition. I will put in my favourites, special.
I too am trying desperately to try and catch up, when I read how many you had to catch up with - I must admit I thought 'lucky you' I was up to about 135. Everytime I think I am winning - there are loads more wonderful images to look at
