It?s cold winterdays and the sun in a low angle shining right on the building and creating that light, there are also a shadow coming from a tree.

Hi Jeanette, nice division in two, where the light adds the finishing touch in creating various textures and tones. I'd crop it a tad closer, as the small spot in the lower left corner is a bit distracting / disruptive of the simplicity.
