Pat, you have so many wonderful works in your portfolio, but this one to me is the best. You created an amazingly simple, yet very tender image.
The softness of the lines and the tone perfectly matches the essence of the soul of the softest of all creations of nature ? the children. Looking at this image I realized that it has a magic ability to transcend the viewer?s imagination from the image itself into this little girls mind to feel the magic of the dress and her own toes.
Technically it is done perfectly ? no disturbing objects in the background, which is plain enough, but not ?dead?, the cropping is very good. The lighting (darker face) is pretty unusual for the child?s photo, which to me makes it more valuable.
Overall this is a brilliant work!
