About Macro shot of a fall leaf after a snowstorm - the snow made a nice white background, and the backlighting brought out the color and veins oh so wonderfully.

I love shots of leaves that are well done, such a often overlooked subject amidst floral shots. Great work here, the cropping is perfect!

Thanks for the kind words - hope that you are enjoying Japan - there are so many things to see and take advantage of them while you are there.

I've been house hunting too long, they look like house lots on a map, with the streets running all over it. subdivisions. Also to some extent has the feel of looking at an old persons hand. I like the snow background, changes things up.

Streets and leaf veins follow the same parameters: getting traffic to a trunk throughfare in an optimal matter from a 2-D surface, so it's not surprising that they start to look simular.

A hand, yeah - I see that. Lots of neat stuff in the natural details when you take time to look at it...
