Another great natural light shot by the natural light master.
I see you shot this with Delta 3200 film, how did you reduce the grain???
Every time I shoot high speed film in 35mm, I get lots of grain.

hey bro,

the dynamics in this picture is awesome. love the composing with the crowded left side and the bold & silent area on the right. especially the microphone stick rocks.

take care,
t-bro

Carlheinz, you always do a fantastic job with your concert photos!! This captures the moment perfectly, and should be acclaimed....great lighting; great work! ..Brad

Howlin Pele Almqvst is a name to remember. I'll have to take care not to try pronounce it though.
(Check out the other guys with the cameras! ...Of course you did.)
Thanks for the inspiration Carlheinz. Our aging greatest poet was in my town this week reciting at a boozer and I've still got a rosey glow that I was able to capture him on 3200. Even had some requests for prints. Haven't got it developed yet, but honestly, very inspirational work man.

Hey Jim! to get the finest grain possible I follow three rules:
1) fresh, cool stored, x-ray free (e.g. airports) pro film
2) the best lab or better do it yourself.
3) the perfect exposure. If the exposure is on the spot, you get fine, pleasing grain. If you have to do major corrections of the exposure with PS you end up with nasty grain.
Hope that helps!
