Beautiful. Excellent tones in the field and the contrast of the blue sky and the two lone green tree's really sets it off. Well done.

Beautiful!!! The place looks wonderful and the colors and simplicity of this picture is just stunning! Congratulations! The only improvement to this shot is for you to crop it from the bottom or the top. As one of the principal rules of composition, an image looks better if its not divided exactly by the half. In this case, as the ground is beautiful and with different layers of colors, I recommend you to see how it looks if you crop the sky a little bit. That way the shot won?t be exactly divided at the half. But by the half or not, I love your picture, it?s definitely great!!

Antonio

This is a great contrast of shapes and colours. And for me the balance of the sky and ground is fine, giving the image an almost abstract effect.

Amna Al Shamsi   {K:21796} 11/30/2004
Wonderful!

Beautifull!!! Very good colors, great blue sky and brown land separated by a green stripe. The shades in the brown make it look like velvet. Ammazing foto! Congrats [7]

Pure effectful minimalism with some very nice details.

Wow !
Do you really need any comments on this?
You must know its an incredible shot, excellent depth of filed, exposure, composition, lighting, colours - what have I missed.
Seriously this is superb.
Regards, Nedim.

Domenico Pescosolido   {K:10022} 11/30/2004
Ciao
Domenico

Minimal landscape but maximum impact! Very beautiful work. The gently undulating field, its texture invite the eyes to stay in the picture. The two trees on the horizon anchor the image. I agree with Antonio's suggestion about cropping the sky slightly. But overall, this is a fabulous image. Very impressive work, Paolo.

Another winner.
Perfection!

Amit Saha   {K:3128} 12/1/2004
beautiful contrasting tones of the sky and ground...the variations of tones on the ground are incredible too, the direction of the clouds also give a sense of symmetry...true beauty in minimalism.

Bart Aldrich   {K:7614} 12/1/2004

Oh, the landscape of Italy is simply beautiful. I think the relationship of the clouds to upper part of the frame is perfect as is. Rules be damned. Basta cosi. Bravo! Bravo!

Your picture is really good still I like too du small chances on it: Small color adjustment and sharpening and crop this picture and you have a winner, framing a picture is most important too take picture

Tony Smallman   {K:18732} 12/1/2004
A truly excellent landscape.Congrats.Tony.

Paolo Pagnini   {K:888} 12/1/2004
Ciao Eugenio,

rules are meant to be broken, from time to time &, personally, i think that this photo definitely need not fall into the rule of 1/3rds category. I love that it is not exactly 1/2 sky, 1/2 earth & yet it is only very slightly off - it adds a strong dynamic to the piece. I find the examples with the sky cropped lose the sense of expansiveness, which is so much what this piece is about for me...the smooth rolling land & the big sky above it. Beautiful! The warm tones of the earth juxtaposed against the cool blues & white in the sky add another element of drama to the piece. I think it is glorious as is. Wonderfully captured & composed.

Silvio Sisto   {K:47} 12/2/2004
Ciao Paolo!
I totally agree with Jennifer!
I like the original better than the croped version.
Wonderful work man.
Arrivederci...
