About This shot was taken after we'd done our bit of shopping and were heading back to the car. The low afternoon light was really hitting the cliffs and making them appear even redder than they were earlier on.

Sidmouth's a great little town to shop ~ lots of nice little gift shops and some great little cafes and tea rooms. And all just a two minute walk from the sea front!!

Best regards, Chris

P.S. No manipulation apart from getting rid of hundreds of dust spots!!!! Actual readings: 1/320th @ f9

Hi Chris, nice lighting and angle for this one. I like how the railing on the left and the causeway of rocks to the right forms a kind of 'T' on it's side. JC - What's the object in the sky in the upper left above the top of the cliff?

Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris; a very pleasant coastal scenic with excellent composition. You have a very good eye for dynamic and interesting compositions. In this one you lead thge viewers eye into the distance from both lower left and lower right and you got a wonderful sky-- nice.

Thanks for comments on my Pots and Pans pic-- yes, unusual for me but mostly because this was indoors. I love looking for this kind of semi-abstact-- natural or man-made outdoors. Cheers. Craig

Beautiful composition, Chris. The beach in the foreground takes you right into the colorful cliff and lovely sky. Well done! Larry

What a magnificant shot, the light is directional and just right, the leading lines are directing the eyes to the rear important areas, and the inclusion of the stores on the left help to install a sense of place.

I like the addition of the people also. The clouds also help to make this a winner!

Chris, you are standing within yards of the spot where Margaret and I met a guy who introduced us to a small digital imaging group and that's how we got to be on Usefilm. With this and your other shot of Sidmouth you've really captured the peacefulness of the town. We didn't see the cliff in such a low light. It's beautiful.
