This is a sweet capture. I like the impressions of their little feet. Thanks for your comment on mine. You are observant! I think part of the magic of the image is its secrets, but I do mention there are 2 cameras to tip that it must be a composite. Will it spoil anything if I reveal the mechanics?
Not really. I used to be strongly against any digital manipulation/addition work on a photo, but now I believe anything goes provided the viewer is told that its a composite. I guess its best to mention what the process was because a one shot photo and a composite often means the credit given to the artist is different in each case. Painters paint because that is the way they can express what they see in their mind and often its impossible to get the same result with photography. So I think its perfectly alright if as an photographic artist you see something in your mind and express it with compositing multiple shots. I believe that tree branch is too thick for anyone to hang from using only their hands, and so you could never make that happen unless you did a composite. Therefore its the vision that matters not the process.
