About Subject background: Venice, sun went down (followup to http://www.usefilm.com/image/610171.html), people are rushing through the streets. But there is still some statics even in the greatest hurry. this time, a young lady lets the time freeze, allowing us to see a snapshot of time. one can feel the living moments in the dead city, but also the loneliness within the crowd.

PS background: Scanned with Nikon Coolscan, color balance, sharpness/blur tweaking.

As always: Honest feedback highly appreciated.

As for shutter/aperture: no flash-philosophy =) (kudos to Carlheinz)

Hi, Thilo...I think I?m definetely back now!!
So... your favorite model :)... helping in a static pose against hurried people.....perfect to a 1/60 tv speed.. you?ve a good perspective and dof, and a scene full of acttion..
The frame is in harmony, also.

Hi Thilo...

Excellent Dynamic/Static shot... It seems as if two different space/time worlds have united in the shot...

Love how the blurry images look, in contrast with the standing... Great composition... Very nice framing...

Cheers,

MaLuisa

nicely captured.. I like the sense of movement yet the clarity of the girl standing... I wonder how this would look in b&w.. good work

Hi Thilo,
very nice static/dynamic capture, and nice idea, i think if you include more of the environment, more moving things etc.. the sense of the loneliness within the crowd might increase..

regards
Baki

Good street shot!

Carlheinz Bayer   {K:14220} 12/3/2004

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 12/3/2004
Hi Baki,

great idea with the environment. will keep that in mind.

as for the special situation in venice: you have to image that these streets are REALLY small and that the opportunities with a fixed lens in terms of wide angle are somehow small ;-)

anyway, creative comment.

thanks my friend.

thilo
