Very unusual shot, Steve, like something out of a 1950's sci-fi movie. The cone shaped projections seem rather like stalactites growing from the ceiling of a cave. I've seen lots of fungi, but nothing quite like this. My only wish would be to have a little more DOF. Best wishes, Kurt

This is an interesting subject but I wonder if you could have gotten a this shot without the fill-in flash and ended up with a darker (sinister) shot. Just a thought.

HELP
LOOKS like something out of a movie
Where do you live in the Peak District anyway?

Steve Tomkinson   {K:3225} 12/16/2004
Hi Gabrielle. I live on the outskirts of Derby, nowhere very special; the Peak District is about 25 miles away, perfect for a weekend walk.

Regards
Steve

Hehe, probably wouldn't be very nice to eat, unless you fancied a spell in hospital....
