Nice tranquil shot. I do like reflection shots. Well done.

Jim Loy   {K:22893} 12/6/2004
Grab it, hold it, take it to yer breast (the poetic breast), yer corner of the world. Make a stand and take no guff, give no quarter?yer corner and keep it yer corner? and a fine spot ya have chosen Becc, a grand place to call yer own. The reflections and water and such. MM is a mountain person? I am more the plaines/prairies? a grand place ya have taken to call yer own. That water land line what makes the angle?. That is sound stuff Becc?. Ya have done well.

Jim Gamble   {K:11968} 12/6/2004
WOW!!!!!!
Pretty, this be yer summer home, Becc?????
Do ya think a poor lowly Maryland boy could come down there and grace ya rich folk with his presence????lol
Jim Gamble

Jim, if I lived there I'd never be bored! This is Otter Lodge, on Blue Ridge Parkway. It's really a beautiful little place and not really expensive. For instance, for now, through April I think, 2 people can stay including breakfast and dinner for 124.00 a night. Nice little getaway.

Tim  Schumm   {K:26927} 12/6/2004
this composition grabed my eye right away. Good job as it is kind of unusual but works never the less. that triangle of blue in the water is fantastic. Hey hows it going with the new Camera? looks like it does a good job!

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 12/6/2004
It's not what I'd like, but for the price it does well. Thanks for the lovely comment, Tim. I'm always flattered if you like one of mine :)

Neal Nye   {K:15827} 12/6/2004
That blue wedge is wonderful. It contrasts so nicely with the warm tones of the autumn forest in the background. Gorgeous reflection too. I think they coulp probably raise their prices in that place.

Tim  Schumm   {K:26927} 12/6/2004
I see that it uses AA batteries.....have you tried the Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable? they are inexpensive and last the longest of all the batteries I have used for digital cameras. 4 of them cost around $12...$15 Canadian...lol
make sure you get the highest Milliamp rating...2200 or better

Warren Simons   {K:715} 12/6/2004
I like this reflection a lot! Good one.

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 12/6/2004
That's what I use Tim. ALthough I think mine are 1950 or something. One set will usually last me an entire 128 mb card and sometimes longer. And I always have a spare set charged and in my bag.

Kevin Collier   {K:19076} 12/6/2004
..very nice -- great color and comp .. K

John Fiore   {K:1077} 12/6/2004

Nicely composed, Rebecca, with the triangle of blue sky! Very nice reflection of the lodge, and some fall colours left!
Dave.

John Loreaux   {K:85782} 12/6/2004

A real nice scene and composition Rebecca!I agree with Tim about that little triangle of blue also, it just adds so much to this already nice photo!
Take care My Friend!..........JOHN

You make me a bit homesick; although living in Florida for 25 years, whats home now? I grew up in Maryland and visited Virginia ALOT. You have certainly done the chamber of commerce a good deed! Well done.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59907} 12/6/2004
Here you have been creating very nice lines with your composition. There?s in not only a nice view and nice reflections, this is good!!!!!!!

Richard Dakin   {K:12852} 12/8/2004
Looks abandoned. Let's see $124(US) would be about $150(Can.)..... not bad really. Have you tried showing some of your pics to the management? Maybe you could sell them in the gift shop!!!!!

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/10/2004
Nice composition Rebecca. The colors are beautiful and the fact that the sky is only on the water on the water is weel seen. Congrats

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52315} 12/10/2004
Wonderful and calming place.
I like the reflection with the blue color reflection of the sky in the lake.
Great work as usual, regards,
Khaled.

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27338} 12/16/2004
WOW! A spectacular view with the most wonderful crystal clear reflections. The vivid greens of the grass are quite striking and a nice contrast with the softness of the background trees. You have a beautiful tranquil corner Rebecca.

Alan Mead   {K:1984} 12/31/2004
A very artful composition: that triangle of the sky refection nicely puts something into the large tree refelction to apropriately balance the image.
Alan M.
