About Time to revisit the prarie grass in my parking lot and get it right this weekend. My posting of Winter Dew was nice, but somehow I deleted the source file and all that remains is the Usefilm posting. How sad. Well, some rain was coming down Sunday and I wanted to reshoot and get it right this time.

lovely raindrops and details; for the composition I would crop the upper part of the image because it adds nothing to the shot;
regards
Lukasz

Lukasz -

Here is a crop, a little tighter and perhaps more interesting to give you a feel of the detail you would see in a print copy.

Better? Or worse?

Closer

Hi Michael, it was not my idea to make a close-up;
when I see the original photo, I see lots of space in the upper part of the shot which only disturbs my view (IMHO); what I would like to obtain is emphasize on the main object and its wonderful drops you captured in excellent way;
the background looks fine so we can use it as well
my vision you can find below
regards
Lukasz

Lukasz:

Your version is better. No question from me - thanks for the work.

michael, i like it. dig the composition the most. would love to see it larger, same format, just larger so the leaf occupies more of the frame without disturbing the ratios in the composition but making it more graphical in nature. the extremely subdued background offsets the cacophony of textures, colors, and reflections on the leaf very nicely. a beauty!

take care,
tom
