About This young lady seems to be really absorbed in the beauty that surrounds her in this tropical & exotic greenhouse.

I added a bit of softening to enhance the dreamlike feel.

A beautiful portrait here and beautiful model as well, I think the added softness added much to this portrait! Bravo! I really like the fact that you seem to use a lot of natural lighting as opposed to studio lighting! Excellent! :)

Pradeep B   {K:2235} 12/16/2004
Brenda, I have done studio work before (refer: Contrasts) but I much prefer natural light shots, especially outdoors where the backgrounds are quite varied.

Unfortunately, with the cold weather we now have in Toronto, outdoors is not much of an option, so I will have to work with halogen lights and flash for a while. ;-( Maybe instead of me sending you some of my models, you can send some of your warm weather up here. ;-)

pradeep, i think the model and the setting are beautiful however, i think the lighting, at least on the flowers over the model's navel is just a bit harsh.

good work overall.... james

Pradeep,

Beautiful! She looks very natural. The lighting looks good. Great colors, working together. Skin tones are nice. I like the softness too.

my biggest problem with this picture is... that i have nothing to complain about, even the frame is cool. good work

Clyde Koa Wing   {K:-136} 7/12/2005
Good work! i really like the softening! can you please tell me how you did it. Thanks

Pradeep B   {K:2235} 7/12/2005
Hi Clyde, thanks for your feedback.

The effect I used to create this is actually part of a custom script I wrote that combines nearly a half-dozen effects in a certain order. So, a certain amount of softening and contrast is involved, among other aspects.

Clyde Koa Wing   {K:-136} 7/12/2005
Ok! do you use Photoshop?

Pradeep B   {K:2235} 7/12/2005
No...I use PaintShopPro 9
