About Marvel at this 14-story masterpiece sculpted by more than a dozen artisans. The 50-foot wide tree is the centerpiece of Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. The swirling tapestry of 325 animal carvings creates a staggering spectacle that is truly a sight to behold!
This tree is one of the few artificial trees among over 4 million living plants at Disney's Animal Kingdom®.

Ten artists and three Imagineers worked full-time for 18 months to create the 325 animal carvings on The Tree of Life.

Very interesting, It must be something to see up close. I doubt the photo does it justice since you can only show one side. Del.

After seeing your fine photo of the tree, I'll have to make it a point to see Animal Kingdom park on my next trip to Orlando. Have been to the other parks many times, but never to this one.

When I first moved to Florida a couple of years ago I went to work for Kodak...they put me to work at Animal Kingdom taking character photos. One thing I loved to do during my breaks was to walk around the park trying to find the best spot for taking pictures of this tree. I love the colors you have captured, the sky is beautiful, the green in the leaves is wonderful as well. If you ever get the chance to go back, go to the back of the tree where the show lets out, and there you will find a trail that leads to a waterfall behind the tree...perfect shot every time! You did a great job!!!!

Michael Mellen   {K:10610} 3/27/2005
Great shot and excellent story that goes with it. Just imagine a tree that is wider than my house is long. Terrific job.

Engy Farahat   {K:11591} 4/2/2005
