very nice shot, nice tones, a very peaceful looking place, captured well, I can see why he would go there to write, well done....

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/13/2004
Thank you for your comment Marcus. You're right, this is a peaceful place..the place to write of to read.. See you..

Femke de Wit   {K:5172} 12/13/2004
Hi Fabrice, this is a nice picture but I think it would be better if you crop the trees above his head. I think it makes the photo stronger,
only the man en the lovely movement in the chairs is enough. Try it. Femke

Tony Diana   {K:13396} 12/13/2004

Regards
Francesca

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/14/2004
Thank you Femke for your comment.. Can you do it? I like to see (and learn) how my friends feel the shot..
Thank you again :)

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/14/2004
Sorry Tony, I do not understand all what you mean, and the translate by google doesn't help me.. Do you think that this shot will be better with DOF? Is that?
Thank you for advices Tony
Fabrice

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/14/2004
I do not a serie for that, but it's a nice idea Francesca.. I have to think about it :). It seems that you are agree with the comment of Femke. I have to crop it ;). I have let the trees because I found that without them, the "weight" on his shoulders will seem to be to high for me. But I have to see again
Thank you for your advice Francesca.. I like it :)

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 12/14/2004
Very nice tones and contrast. I do agree about cropping the trees. He is the main object here, clearly..and the lighted area at the top distracts from him.

Glinel Nathalie   {K:322} 12/14/2004
quand la photo se déroule par le haut je m'attendait à une ile paradisiaque et au bout une écharpe et la sérénité!!!

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27338} 12/15/2004
Fantastic contrast and tones Fabrice. A perfect place surrounded by quiet beauty.

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/21/2004
Yes Rebecca.. finally I'm agree with you (and Femke and Francesca).. I have tried it, and whitout the light in the trees, it is better. Thank you very much for your comments..

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30027} 12/22/2004
Rich in tone and excellent composition. I tried to think of a suggestion to improve just to see what I could come up with, since you welcomed advice or comments, and I came up empty-handed. You are a master. T.

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/22/2004
YOu are too kind Toni.. I'm not a master, you're more than me, with an EC award ;) heheheh.
I like to look at your work because I like the way you use your camera to express what you feel.. just the pleasure to share.. Merry Christmas Toni, to you and your family...

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30027} 12/22/2004
Just about fell out of my seat with that last remark and had to make another. I won't argue who is better...I know you are :). And as for awards...there is an expression in English...wanna-be (that's short for someone who wants to be something they are not...He/she is just a wanna-be). Well I'm just a wanna-BIP! I should do a picture with myself hanging off a cliff holding my camera and name it Wanna-BIP. lol. T.

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/22/2004
You're right Toni... be a WANNA-BIP ehheheh!! Nice new UF word!! Take care

Lida Chaulet   {K:3430} 12/27/2004
Beautiful scene, I like the peaceful mood and his concentrated expression...

Wonder what he is writing...

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 12/27/2004
:).. your last sentence make me smile ... Thank you for you kind comment Lida
Take care

m.c. lopez   {K:14766} 1/9/2005
angle très intéressant
la disproportion crée un bel effet de surprise

NN     {K:26787} 1/21/2005
Sometimes you see people writing in funny places ... I often wonder how they can concentrate. With no people around this must be a good place ~ well spotted and taken, Fabrice!

Robert Kocs   {K:89061} 11/1/2006
A very well captured candid street shot dear my friend.
I do love your style how illustrate this moment and
very great point of view. The b&w tonal range and details
are so superb. Bravoo dear my friend! 7+++

Bonjour dear Fabrice,
Robert
