Interesting shot, Jon. This fellow is actively contributing to the global warmth by chopping all the forests, off. The distant forest on the hills awaiting the same fate, sooner or latter.
Reminds me the film 'Insomnia' in which the villan Robie Williams traps Al Pacino, among the, enormous floating logs.
The shore looks so close and yet its 2 km away ! Mordern technology at its best.

Ken,
The distant hill is about an hour away by ferry. Your point about logging is taken, but look at the size of those logs. We have about the same amount of forest now that we did 100 years ago, but have a problem with monoculture. The pine beetles are causing a real problem.
Right now, American protectionism is keeping logging down. The fellow on the logs may be losing his job soon.

Great tug shot Jon. I am enjoying the man in the sceen - I would be scared to death to do this job as it's very dangerous. The tug is so cute - great shot.
