About Ok, I've just realised my previous upload was quite aweful. I made the fatal mistake of spending too long looking at it in Photoshop without a break, and then uploading it straight away. I normally finish my post-scan adjustments on an image and then go do something else for an hour or more, coming back later to check it over with a fresh pair of eyes. That time I didn't and I've learned my lesson! I think I'll probably start that one again sometime soon and see if I can get a better result.

Anyway, in the mean-time here's another frame from the same shoot. The medium exposure, though smoothing it somewhat, kept a small amount of detail in the water. The light allowed better rendition in colour than my first black and white of this scene (I've experimented and will be doing a black and white of this particular frame also). Mostly though, I'm quite happy with the square crop. This particular one was shot in the portrait format but the almost empty space at the bottom didn't flatter the image whereas the square, I believe, gives good balance.

I hope you like and I look forward to reading your comments.

Thanks for viewing.

Very very nice, good colours and tones, I like the smoothness of the water against the roughness of the rocks.

Very good, the colors are awesome, well done.

I prefer b&w ! :-)

I am totally stuck between the colour and B&W versions Daniel - they are both 7/7 - fabulous scenery and a beautiful photograph :-)

Best wishes,
Steve

Superb. I love the effect from the slow shutter and the colours. I also recognise the sentiments in your "about". I had not taken any shots for a couple of weeks and rushed to upload one today. Looking at it now I wonder whether I shouldn't have sat back for a while and thought about it a bit more...
AJ

PS. I've just looked through the comments and see that I've been here before! Oh well, shows I still like it.
