About today one low pressure zone was leaving with another in line right behind. But in between we get these fantastic cloud formations.

Lukasz Kuczkowski   {K:14684} 12/15/2004
wonderful sky, Tim; like the b&w as well; landscape in b&w looks so diffrent;
it must be really windy there and cold I suppose
take care
Lukasz

Tim  Schumm   {K:26927} 12/15/2004
Well today it was quite warm... a light jacket would do. it doesn't usually snow more then once a year here.....maybe. By January it can get pretty cold with the winds

Saintz Saintz2   {K:10911} 12/15/2004
Bellissimo scorcio ..
Molto interessante il B&W ...
Complimenti

Wah! Help me pick up my jaw.

Wonderful composition and contrast (too hard contrast would have killed it). Cheers

dave green   {K:2360} 12/15/2004
Another stunning B&W, the clouds are awsome.

Bart Aldrich   {K:7614} 12/15/2004
Very nice B&W, Tim. A new area for you after all the fine color.
bart

Tim  Schumm   {K:26927} 12/15/2004
yes that is for sure Bart.... winter does kind of kill the color over here. we all turn to various shades of grey...except those that escape to all parts warm and south of here. Upon their return they stick out like freaks of nature..... hahaha ... oh to be so blessed.

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 12/15/2004
It's all been said. Awesome. You truly have the artistic eye and capabilities to go with it. I hope that in your spare time you're going to print and frame some of the bw's and put them in a gallery for sale. There's a big market for excellent bw images and so few do it well. Magnificent work, I applaud you!

Tony Smallman   {K:15490} 12/15/2004

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27338} 12/15/2004
Outstanding capture Tim!! It seems so desolate yet so alive. That low pressure system would wreak havoc on migraine sufferers :-).

Roberto Carli   {K:13689} 12/15/2004
Stunning!!!!Great B/W!!!
best wishes.

Fadel J   {K:13584} 12/16/2004
Fantastic cloud formations indeed Tim, with great lighting and tones!

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22103} 12/16/2004
Tim:

Isolate the sky and the ground - adjust brightness and contrast for pure white and black.

Voila. A tasty surprise.

The composition is excellent as well as the shot - just some tweaks to bring out the overall drama.

James C   {K:19153} 12/23/2004
good to see black and white here tim. i agree with michael, the additional contrast is nice and makes the photo more powerful. also, if i can say, i prefer these grey tones to colours, as they bring a more "stormy" feel to the photo.

good work ~ james

Hi Tim,

WOW...this is impressive. Fantastic sky/clouds! So dramatic! Wonderful composition. Obviously, the sky makes the whole image.

Very nice work. I looked at your website, you really create beautiful paintings!!! It was a visual treat for sure!
