About In the middle of your life, sometimes you don't know where you are to reach by the evening and often think about what you left behind in the morning hours. What you can do is only sail. Keep sailing, looking back to yesterdays, looking ahead to tomorrows.

The first composite I did for usefilm. Three of my images go here. You can find two of them in 'Hey-iah!' & 'Waking up late...'.

Cheers

AAT SA   {K:4565} 12/17/2004

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52258} 12/17/2004
Good capture.
The tones, PS effects and "about" are all wonderful.
Well done,
Khaled.

Jonathan, I had myself enlisted for photo4me if you could remember. But after that i really couldn't give much time or effort for serious photography. And I didin't want to disappoint people. May be, I can be back once I get enough confidence. Cheers

Daniel O'Byrne   {K:1157} 12/17/2004
Suberb, you did a great job with this shot, perfect reflections

Marcy Massura   {K:1848} 12/17/2004
Beautifully blended composite. I am baffled a bit by the titles connection to the image however. I readt your 'about' and see now that this is a personal "refelection" on this point in your life....well well done

Hi Bikramadittya!
I am not at that stage in life yet but its great to see your photo to put some soothering thought into it.
Excellent photo!
Regards,
Ben

Bikramadittya G. Roy   {K:7172} 12/20/2004
Hi, Daniel. There's not much original reflection there, except the one vertical shaft of sunlight just beneath the sun. The rest is created to be an illusion of reflection and is not real reflection. It's just that I flipped a pic to make it vertically opposite. Cheers

Bikramadittya G. Roy   {K:7172} 12/20/2004
Hi Ben, I'm also not yet in this stage. But, I see people around me in this stage. This is my tribute to their spirit. Cheers

We row along the cool of the stream,
unbeknown to all of us
as to whats in between.

The waters surface and the depths below,
do we leave here or do we say hello?

Wait for the time to stop and take note,
or you will regret that loss of hope.

You need to look back at what you've learnt,
before you can continue without getting hurt.

The future is yours for the taking,
but take it wisely, learn from your past.
Do not carry regret within your heart,
just grow my dear friend and sail the river vast.

Thankyou Bikramadittya.

Judi

Dr. Rafael Springmann   {K:86479} 1/3/2005
An excellent illustration for sailing in midlife, dear Bikram. What can I say when I know that this year I'll be 75 yeards old? endlife crisis? no! I don't feel in a crisis. I do feel that I still have much to give, both in photography and in psychoanalysis. The first batch of my book is sold out and I had to order a new batch, to reach me next week.
Thank you for your kind words about my "Pouring the bubbly", my "Lamps 2" (the scalpels and lancets are not in my fantasy, despite my starting my career in medicine as an assistant in chest surgery for one year. Then I got bored and went over to psychiartry, a step I never regretted) and my "First anamone". In the latter you see no wire. What you see is a reflection on the edge of the flower-pot from the light of the ring-flash.
Best regards,
Rafi

Gaja Snover   {K:4462} 2/3/2005
This is very interesting! i keep looking at that light star in the water, and looking back at the sun so see if it could've possibly come from it. It's very interesting how you've combined these, nice work!

Bikramadittya G. Roy   {K:7172} 2/3/2005
Thank u Gaja! I tried to create something surrealistic, something with an illusion that would seem true and impossible at the same time. It seems I succeeded. Thanx again. Cheers
