Tom, the filter effect used in PS makes this really effective. The portate also stands out nicely in front of the background making this a success.

Tom, very interesting technique you have here. I like how it "becomes a man" so to speak. Nice work.

Dear Bryan, thankyou for your kind comment.

Thanks Cheryl. I used painter 8 for the painterly effects and different mediums. Then took the image back to photoshop to tweak the final image.

Tom, I really like the PS manipulation you have done here. The effect of the putty knife is a little strong in the forehead, can it be toned down any? In any event, it give a little twist to a regular portrait. Very nice.

This is our first, but hopefully not our last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm", Mr. Randa. I took the opportunity to read your bio, look at your webpage and throgh your entire portfolio. That part was easy, because there were not too many photos, but difficult because they were all good and hard to select one to comment on. I finally settled on this one because although it is obvious that it has been workred on, I liked its relative simplicity and simplicitiy, I've been told more than once, is the secret of beauty in art. You are, of course, invited to read my bio and pay further visits to my portfolio.
In the meantime, I thank you for your friendly comment on my "Combination 2, 3 and 4." Coming from a professianl like you, these comments carry an extra load of honor for my work.
Best regards,
Dr. Rafael (Rafi for future communications) Springmann
