About For Raphael, my nephew, the purpose of a mobile phone was mostly using it as a game console. When the sun came through the window I just had to take my camera and tried some low angle shots. I think it is important to be at the subject's eye level especially for kids.

Wow, you catched here a beautiful moment of concentration. The light comming through the window on the face is well taken.. The tones and contrast are perfect. 7++

Excellent high contrast image. Truely. I'm impressed by your talent for candid captures, which is reflected throughout your portfolio. T.

thanks for the kind words. I spent a weekend with my nephew and took really a lot of photos, but only this one I'm happy with.

David, I really enjoyed browsing through your portfolio. You seem to have a lot of fun with your photos! Are Rapheal's dreads real or were they just temporary?

David Hofmann   {K:23763} 1/2/2005
I love portraits. I think people, faces and especially children are so interesting that I just feel the need to take photos. My wifes says my camera is permanently attached to my hand :)
Raphaels dreads were an experiment, but they were done poorly and only two weeks later you was so frustrated that he cut his hair completely. It's a shame he looked so cool with them.

I agree with you on portraits and children! I also seem to have my camra attached to my hand and my family is always making fun of me! LOL

I used this site and these products to do my sons hair if Rapheal is interested in trying it again http://www.dreadheadhq.com
