About In and around Baltimore, you can find so much beauty, architecturally. Unfortunately, many areas within the city have been long left behind....boarded up and abandoned. Even some of those old "Row houses" maintain a dignified profile.

Is the darkening of the edges too much...or appropriate?

Great angle Brad, the colours are superb and I like the dark edges. A glimpse of the past which is now receding and soon will be overtaken.

Such a shame to see such lovely architecture going to waste. Lovely image with good colour contrasts and good exposure. Composition very good but unfortunately I don't really like the vignetting as it seems to close down the image. I think if the dark edges weren't there it would add to the feeling of spaciousness and emptiness.

Nice shot though!

This are wonderful old houses,a pity that they are abandoned and without life.I like the beautiful colours and shadows...and the dark vignettes too...I think they are good for the composition and have great effect.
I wish you a very Happy New Year ,dear Brad

I would be interested to know the vingnette type effect you have applied to the blue sky here. This is a rich shot.

You're right, it's sad to see the many once dignified buildings and houses abanded out let go. You've composed this shot of these nicely and I like the shadows each one casts on the next. The darkened edges adds nicely to the overall.

Randy
