Interesting concept. Like your intent. Black shadows and a big gap

this is a great shot, Bradley, because even if we didn't know that it was a prison on the left, the piece still has this strong feeling of opressiveness & isolation that you wanted to capture. Wonderfully captured & composed.

I like the effect the wall on the left gives... great perspective. :-)

I really like your PS work here - very good work! The prison give a very strong feeling of isolation, blocked windows it seems because of the hard black shadow. You also created a surreal effect and i think that one is what i like mostly here. Amazing and excellent! 7+

Nice idea. Interesting how the lock up is bathed in light while the rest of us suffer in the shadows.

maybe it is a prison but a wonderful one for someone that loves cityscapes... yes, the harsh vertical urban lines and the desaturated sky work towards the isolation feeling you want to achieve but the earth color on the walls adds a warmness in this geometrical composition... more like a bittersweet feeling from someone counting nostalgically skycrapers!!!! very well done... emy :)

Thank you, Emily, for the thoughtful analysis. Contributions like that make the efforts worth it! ...Brad

I've just browsed through your portfolio. A lot of your photos seem very math/science oriented. Not sure if I'm explaining that well, but there seems to be a lot of geometry involved. This is unique to my writer/English mind who sees more organically in my world. I want to try to challenge myself with photography and my challenge will be to look at things more scientifically this week - I really enjoy your work. You have some great art here.
