Very serene, I really like the way you used your natural light illuminating the pathway. Beautiful work!

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30021} 1/5/2005
Very pretty scene. The angle of the bottoms of the branches on the left almost look like a good haircut, they are so even :) How do you like your 20D? T.

Frits Selier   {K:455} 1/5/2005
I think the 20D is excellent, regards

Excellent shot Frits... I like the choice of B&W for this shot. Also like the composition to lead the eyes down the path...

Cheers,

Bill

Color balance is interesting; to my eyes, this shot looks a bit more cyan/blue than neutral. Attached is an adjusted version. I don't know which one I like better. They certainly have different moods. And I didn't shift the color very much, either. It's amazing what subtle differences do.

Jenny Brown   {K:2859} 1/7/2005
Well, the border on my posted adjustment came out all wrong, here's what I meant since it doesn't let me delete. A bit of a border helps particularly along the sky so it doesn't blend into the white page.

Overall I like the composition, but something's a little off balance; perhaps because the trees are weighty on the left but the sky is weak on the right. It feels like it's leaning rather than drawing me in. Adjusting to include more trees on the right might fix the balance.

Erg mooi!! in duitsland wel sneeuw .. Jammer dat er in Nederland slechts 1 ochtendje sneeuw was.
Ik zou ook eens graag dingen met sneeuw doen!

Goeie contrasten en tonaliteit !
