About A self-portrait taken at Grand View Point (I believe) at the southern end of the Island in the Sky part of Canyonlands National Park, Oct of 2000. I didn't expect much from this shot and then thought, "Whoa!" Was right at sunset. Camera on Bogen tripod. No, I did not have to jump a huge chasm to get to my perch. :-) (P.S This is a scan off a bad print from a slide. The original is much better in all ways.)

Excuse me, could you please move slightly to your left and back a few feet?

Nice job!

An excellent shot. Beyond the obviously spectacular color, the balance of the cloud and the rock your friends are sitting on is perfect. They almost "flow" in the exact same direction. You should get this one drum scanned.

I'll 2nd all the positive comments thus far and add - whoa, it sure pays to go out on location eh, good stuff.
