Well, this has been up a while and no one is commented, so I guess I'll give it a try.
It's impossible for me to figure out what the subject of this photo is. Is it the street paving? The paving is in focus and has nice texture, but really doesn't have much of an interest factor. The parked cars again aren't all that interesting and they are out of focus...likewise the buildings. I think you were attempting to be creative, which is a good thing, but creative or not, there still needs to be a center of interest. This probably would have worked better had you made the cars and houses the center of interest and had them all sharp...or at least the ones in the foreground sharp.
I hope I have not offended you, but since no one had commented I figured I'd just put in my 2 cents worth!...Remember, this is just 1 persons opinion!
It's nice having another Baltimore gal on here!

I am not offended at all. I'm so grateful that someone commented here to tell me why this photo is not particularly interesting. I think you're right that the problem is the expanse of pavement but no real point of interest. I did like the texture, which is why I liked this photo, but you're absolutely right that texture alone isn't enough to make this photo especially interesting. As a thumbnail, I think this photo is even worse because you don't even the texture in the pavement doesn't even show up.

Thanks so much for your honest comment! It helps a lot.
