Love Fuji Velvia, find the 50 speed especially good, only in good light though otherwise exposure times get stupid. I miss the feeling of getting slides back, oh well Digital is faster.

Like the composition and saturation and detail in the scene is wonderful, congrats.

Don't know whether it's lost in the upload / transfer to Poland, but this image is very dark by the time it arrives on my screen. But I just can't resist your pics of my teenage stomping ground. And with a little luck I'll be back there for a weekend shortly...

All the best, AJ

It certainly has the dar and moody feel about it. Reminds me of the older style movies.

Howie, there's always something special about using Velvia. I prefer the ISO50 version for its greater impact but even the 100 produces some nice colours. Technically, this sort of light would have benefited from an 81B warmup but the effect of the blue light works well here to give a feeling of cold.

When I look at you picture Howie, I'm carried through the years, returning to a past, where people leaved in this ofd farm, far from all..
Very nice capture Howie, and deep atmosphere.
Cheers
Fabrice

I like the darkness of this shot, it adds mood. The dark blue and green tones are really beautiful, and I like how you can see the little sheep over yonder grazing in the grass!! ) Those are sheep, right?

Kristina Kohut   {K:49990} 1/7/2005
It does look a little bit dark, but then again we can't always have sunshine, and the darkness has it's own place as well when it comes to mood!

It's a beautiful photo, very nicely composed, and I just love the view!

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30027} 1/7/2005
Howie, this isn't the Welsh mountains...you've got it mixed up. It's Heaven! Another blockbuster, if you ask me. A+7+ Superb. The color and composition are so rich. T.

This looks like an illustration from a child's fantasy book,. I love it. On my favs. Dottie

Howie Mudge   {K:23894} 1/8/2005
Thanks for all the comments and support Dottie. Im still learning as I go along and still torn between digital and film. Im very new to film (6-9 months) but been shooting digitally for about 4 years. I have a love for both formats :)

Full of cold and flu at the moment :( Weather is awful as well so cant see me getting out with the camera much this weekend.

Thanks again

Howie
