This is a gorgeous nighttime shot the colors are very smooth and the details are very crisp. The starburst from the lower building light looks a little out of place against the softness of the rest of the pic. However, this is very pleasing~!

Hello Graham! i think this one is well composed and exposed, (as ussualy with your shots) but I guess i miss some action in it; It somehow seems to static to me; thats just my thinking... Andrej

Thanks for the comments Den. This was 15secs with a tripod and using the 2 sec delay on the camera. Just after I took the shot a cyclist knocked over the tripod. The camera's a write off. £600 down the drain after 12 months use. Regards, Graham.

Hello Andrej thanks for the comments. This type of shot tends to be static at 15 secs exposure. Any movement unless very slow is not captured. There is another photographer in the image under the light. He was a real pain for getting in the way. Regards, Graham.

Oh no Graham. What a disaster. This brings up quite a subject. Were you insured and do you have any claim against the cyclist? I suppose he/she didn't have insurance as it's not compulsory therefore you've got to rely on your own. Whilst our equipment is covered by the household insurance I need to check whether this sort of occurrence is covered. Sincerely hope you've some recourse. Den

Hi Den, the cyclist was gone before I realised what had happened. I was looking away talking to someone or I could have caught the tripod. I never seem to claim on my contents insurance so I don't have accidental damage just standard cover. This has worked out a lot cheaper over the years as accidental damage doubles the cost of the policy. I'll just have to bite the bullet on this one. I'll take out seperate cover on my policy for my next camera. Little advice when using a tripod always keep the neckstrap of the camera around your neck.LOL Regards, Graham.
