I like this image a lot Barry (quite similar to one of my own too - http://www.usefilm.com/image/653584.html - so that may have something to do with it! ;-) ). I have a real liking for images with reflections and drama and this has both in copious quantities. I particularly like the mists coming down into the centre of the shot from the left. Well shot!

Nice image. You're right that the curving foreground really makes this image much better than a standard reflection shot. I also like the way the hill on the left expands to fill in the image to balance the foreground. Well done.

Great technique as usual Barry, sometimes I feel very limited by the limited maximum timed exposure of 30 seconds on the rebel. The reflection really adds a dramatic touch,

Chris, thanks for your comments. The Fuji also has a maximum 30 second 'in-camera' exposure but I put it in bulb mode and use a cable release then just time the exposure using my watch. Of course this approach requires some trial and error but the histogram review will indicate how many more stops are needed to fill the sensor's dynamic range, i.e. to move the highlights on the graph most or all of the way to the right. It's then just a matter of doubling the exposure for every stop required. The 300D has the same facility as my friend uses his for astrophotography taking images up to 5 minutes exposure.
