About I have seen someone else do this on the sig. He got chewed out by some of the ppl but I am the copyright ownership of this photo / my late grandfather alcoholic photographer / wonder where my artstic side came from anyway if you have any suggestions how to improve this photo before it's printed let me know! Should I add color as well? tell me what you think?

I like it old, I like it now... no reason I guess why this guy can't look as spiffy as he did in youth..
I suspect the bricks to the left added a touch of balance. Maaaaybe, just mayyybe, there is some sense of menace in the darkness to the right a la german expression ist movies of the period before the war.
Like it, just wonder if it lost some of its original feel in losing the bricks.
But I'm no pro. He really does look fresher and youthfuller thanks to your treatment.

I have done the same - don't add color. Just try to bring it back to its former glory and spread copies around all the relatives.
