About Taken in Waynesboro, Va., crossing the Appalachian Mountains at dusk. The clouds were moving down the mountains with unbelievable speed. It would have been sharper if I had been able to use my tripod...but I was sitting in my car with my window down, and Semi's whizzing by me so fast that my car would rock up and down. I realize that it's a dark image, but the mood was intensely dark.

Here's to the grotty weather Bradley!
You know my seaside shot in these kinds of tones?
I sharpened it to make the grains in the mist glisten. Still looks dark but sparkles. Tip I gathered from somewhere in Leslie Hancock's porfolio.

great shot, Bradley. You've captured the mood here so wonderfully - dark & ominous. Beautiful. Semi's whipping by...talk about braving the elements! Well done.

indeed the image has a very dark mood that is helped by the choise of b/w presentation... still i love the dynamique diagonal of the mountain slope... the ghostly trees that seem like coming from the depths of a dream... and of course the threatening fog!!! wonderful moody ride must have been... very well done... emy :)
