I viewed both of the snow scenes you posted and enjoyed them both. I just wanted to say how much I liked the lighting in this one. I am not sure just how you obtained it but I love it. Del.

Wow... Christine, you have turned a lovely winter scene into a perfect photo. I love the silky look of the undisturbed snow on the ground, and the lighting is very striking.

I think you found it. Gorgeous shot. The tones are magnificent... They are together, yet they are so alone. Beautiful.

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 1/14/2005
Outstanding photo, Christine! The smoothness of the snow and the utterly featureless sky really make the trees stand out boldly and emphasize the amazing detail in their branches! I love the way you played with the lighting, adding richness to the light areas, but keeping the snow on the branches bright white. Almost an aurora borealis effect in the sky! You make that cold scene inviting! Beautiful!
Sorry I haven't been commenting recently!

Hugo de Wolf   {K:185017} 1/14/2005
Hi Chritine, I don't know what you did to this, but the untouched snow, the only very subtle difference between foreground and the background are just too good to be true. Love the high contrasts. Awesome image.

Cheers,

Hugo

Christine, I'm gonna have to spend some time looking through your portfolio. Spectacular shot, this one. I'm partial to the halo effect. Lovely; reminds me of that holiday season we just had.
