Hi Patrick, Having visited your website on a few occasions, as well as the images on Ufi, I like the very high quality and consistency of your work. Mostly dominated by contrasting colours and high saturation / colour depth. You are obviously very skilled at postprocessing (thanks for the colourmode answer to Tom R. the other day), but the initial photographic material in terms of composition and subjects is also pretty impressive.

I'm not sure this shot would qualify as one of your best, mainly because it has no specific predominant subject to catch the eye, apart from the overwhelming emptiness, the lines in the ice / snow and the perspective. In that, it is a very good shot, but it somehow does not manage to grab my attention like most of your other shots...

Cheers,

Hugo

Excellent.
I like the big contrast between the cold blue ice and the hot red sky.
Also, the ice pattern (wonderful crack) enriches this photo with great details, suggesting me a sense of fear and insecurity.

James Hager   {K:6285} 1/13/2005
Nice. Perfect exposure, and wonderful colors. The large area of ice in the lower right seems a bit odd to me though. I think I'd rather see a bit more of the snow formations in the foreground.

Sigit Prasetio   {K:354} 1/18/2005
excellent...
this is world class...

just curious... is it really 100mm lens?
