Expression is quite nice. I think just a little fill from a reflector would help the deep shadow areas. Tone is nice but a little oversaturated for my tastes.

What a mysterious gaze, nice shot!

Sometimes I wonder how people come to comment on a piece, particularly when it's an old one and I haven't heard from them before. So I will tell you a funny story about this one just in case you might enjoy it. I was checking my e:mail messages from Usefilm and every time I responded to a comment, UP popped this picture along with several others. And the look on her face was saying she wasn't pleased with what I just wrote..." lol. Finally, I had to go take a closer look. This is an uncommon expression to find in a portrait, but not uncommon in life. It is excellent, and the sepia works great with it. The next thing for me to do was to delve more deeply to see something about the photographer who would take such a picture and I read your personal info. I got a bang out of your path from film to digital. My first BW class was in 1972 and while I started out in the darkroom, and did do a little bit with one at home after that, I never got into like you did. Anyway, I love digital now...isn't it grand! Before even leaving a comment I stuck you in friends because I could see yours is a portfolio where I could spend some quality time. Glad to meet you. T.

Sorry I wasn't able to say Happy New Year to you yet...better later than never!

Wish you have a fun new year,

Looking forward to seeing "more with less" of this model. Perhaps even the hint of a smile as well.
