Lovely cityscape Thilo... Excellent composition... Love the colors!!!! The bird in the sky and the boat add life to it... The sky also looks great, the lines are beautiful...

The unusual New York Skyline. I thought about going to Roosevelt Island to shoot pics when I was in New York.
I like the composition. I don't know about the sharpness and the colors of the buildings vs the color of the sky.
Something is not working for me.

thanks for the feedback. roosevelt islands rocks in some way (check my last picture before this one) =)
as for the colors: I'm not sure what you don't like. Didn't change the colors at all. the sun was kind of low at that point so that there is indeed a difference between sky and foreground. sharpness is due to JPEG compression - I upload my pictures kind of user friendly ;-)

Hi Thilo, Very classic cityview on NYC... Well captured, and a very good scan, as far as I can tell in this size. As to the composition, a little less water in the composition, placing the shoreline a bit lower could've worked too. Very nice shot, with beautiful tones and subtleties in it...
