I love this. What a perfect use for a holga. The perspective is wonderful, and I love how the tracks disappear into the fog. The dark edges of the photo only enhance the lines and perspective.

Wonderful!

Peter C.   {K:3083} 1/13/2005

Efisio Mureddu   {K:12854} 1/13/2005
This shot reminds me many things:
1) History: the great financial crisis in the Twenty
2)movies inspired by, in particuoular way "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" By Joel and Ethan Coen, i hope u know it.
The mood is perfect, i don't know way but rails reminds me to an escape from a bad situation.
Another great one Bea... i got to buy a Holga... yes i got to do it :)
Regards
E.

I love how so many of us are putting on fog shots, they look so mysterious and beautiful. I like how you have taken this as if through a tunel, the perspective is great. Alison

Cenk KIRBAS   {K:1739} 1/14/2005
Stunning. Waiting for the ghost train. The fog swallowing the detailed real life railway gives me the creeps. Good Job. Congrats.

Michele Berti   {K:14921} 1/14/2005

Omar Rifaat   {K:10135} 1/16/2005
Lovely shot, Beay. Very allegorical to life: one can only see so far ahead into ones future before the mists obscure things....
I love these holgaroids.
Omar

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 1/16/2005
Love tracks, love sepia, love this perspective, and love this one. :) T.

jennifer armstrong   {K:6688} 1/17/2005
beautiful shot, Bea. I love how the vingetting makes me feel as though i've just followed the tracks out of a tunnel. There's a kind of spooky, haunting feeling to this piece - an unknowingness of what's to come.

Carol Watson   {K:5185} 1/17/2005
Bea, this is one omy favorite holgaroid shots of yours! Wonderful perspective -- the tracks lead to some mysterious and unknown destination, made even more mysterious by the holga's unique blur and vignetting.

svend videbak   {K:7376} 1/17/2005
Surprising sharpness in the foreground for a plastic lens. Beautifully smooth transition from sharpness to blurriness in the fog. I really like the brown tones as well. Good move not to run the picture straight down the tracks, makes it much more interesting perspectivally. The vignetting works perfectly. Excellent! Rgds, Svend

N3ma Allah Hisham   {K:4826} 1/19/2005
excellent I hope we see it soon at the virst page
regards,
N3ma

zosia zija   {K:12056} 1/21/2005

Sean Dewis   {K:573} 1/21/2005
Wow, such an atmospheric image. Superb

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 1/22/2005
Bea, I have a question about the Holgaroid...do you use the conversion lens that goes with the Polaroid back? I bought a Polaroid back on ebay, and it comes with the conversion lens. It appears to make the Holga lens into somewhat of a wide-angle. Thanks,

Mark

Bea Friedli   {K:9816} 1/22/2005
hi Mark !! no.I don't have the conversion lens. sounds cool though ! can't wait to see what you take with it !! woohoo ! you'll have fun !

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 1/22/2005
So I don't have to use it. Great! Thanks Bea.

Mark

Bea Friedli   {K:9816} 1/22/2005
you're so welcome..anytime. they do have a viewfinder thingy to see. I don't have that..so..not all horizons are perfect but it's fun shooting blindly ! you kind of judge it anyway.
have fun !
