Great composition Tim. Lovely textures and colours in the foreground. Lots of detail in the mid-ground with the large erratic and the pools along with a strong horizon line. I guess you are using the 18 - 70 at the wider end judging from the curved horizon line. If you are using Photoshop CS, download the PTlens plugin, it does agreat job of correcting lens distortion.
