Hi Toni, Very clean shot, and a very good addition to a classical theme. The lighting and noiseless image make it slick. The distant look of the mother, where I would expect her to look at her child puzzles me a bit. It removes the tenderness and affection, which is normally the key element in this theme. That distant look is also the thing that creates the tension in this photo, though. Very interesting to see how such subtle things can have a huge impact on the photo.

Hi Toni,
Very nice lighting, I have always loved the 'bare Mom and Baby' photos, can't beat them. So intimate.
For this one, (for me) I would prefer to see Mom gently looking down at the baby.

Great job, I love what can do with a baby if I ever have another promise you will come visit. Well you can come even if I don't. The lighting is very nice the dark tones make this very intimate. The only thing that bothers me is her left breast looks like it is missing.

Thanks Karen...oh drat re the left breast...I was hoping no one would notice anything there. It isn't missing...the areola was lightened so it wouldn't figure so prominently, given she is a teacher at our school and wants to hang this where she may have visitors who wouldn't appreciate the full blown version. T.
