Good title, I like your picture in the smaller frame. I wonder if there's a way to capture the glass as well. Do you know they sell light bulbs that are like Edison's originals in his museum-home? The filament is thicker and is easier to look at the bulb while it's on. Old worldish.

Kareem Hamdan   {K:3177} 1/24/2005
Thakns Lily, I have never seen the original, but I wish to, I love science, if you want to capture the glass I think you need little bit more light and a good angle to capture the brightness of the glass, I am not a pro. but I like it like this because the secret was in the filament.

Regards
kareem

Wonderful idea and excellent caption. I come back to your photos with the hope that my "history lesson" as seen from our side did not allienate you. I still hope that one day, before I meet my ancestors (I'll be 75 years old next February 18th) I'll be able to meet you.

In fact I'd like u to know that was Nikola Tesla (serb from Croatia) the one who invented the electrical bulb, as well as alternate electrical current and many other grat patents. Thomas Edison simple stole his patent cos they were in some kind of cooperation. Nikola Tesla never cared for the money or fame so he didn't complain of it, he was more dedicated to his inventions. If u like Edison, investigate a bit more about Tesla, u'll be very suprised ;-).

Now about the photo: very correctly exposed, it has some mystic, and maybe story in it (but not this one I've been writing above ;-). This type of framing was not so necessary here. Pretty good, all in all.

Thanks very much my friend, I was really surprised of this information, it is really nice, I like these things, about the framing I put it in 30 seconds, here I need to search well for something interesting, my city is empty, but there is somethinh interesting in things, even fly -which I hate- it looks mystirous in the photo. I loke your way, I colors especially, they are warm, and deep.

My best regards
Kareem
