About I like to walk in small old alleys. I feel the warmth of yesteryear even if, now, the crowding is not always easy to live..

J'aime beaucoup cette image... ça ressemble aux ruelles de chez moi!

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 1/18/2005

Diego Ruggiero   {K:10572} 1/18/2005
very good location....quite similar to some Naple's places.
Very good shot.

osvaldo rima   {K:6862} 1/18/2005

Luquésio Melo   {K:565} 1/18/2005
Excellent capture!!!
Congrats.

Michele Berti   {K:14921} 1/18/2005
really nice Fabrice. I especially like the low angle which make a great perspective here.

Christian Barrette   {K:21125} 1/18/2005

A bientot CHristian
Fabrice

Christian Barrette   {K:21125} 1/18/2005

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52315} 1/18/2005
Nice street shot Fabrice.
I like the angle and the tight cropping, gives the sense of hight.
Good work my friend,
Khaled.

Glinel Nathalie   {K:322} 1/18/2005

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27338} 1/18/2005
Narrow alleyways, a place of clandestine rendezvous, of any kind. The tones, dark walls and curve bring the mystery to mind, Fabrice.

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 1/18/2005
A Barcelone, tu peux t'y promener sans risques Nath..
Bisous

giovanni guido marchi   {K:26087} 1/18/2005

Verena Rentrop   {K:14426} 1/19/2005
I can see and feel the soul of it, chatting from side to side, a single laugh, smell the lunch preparation...

soulful composition

Cheers,
Verena

Hanggan Situmorang   {K:37782} 1/19/2005
Very nice composition. I can feel the narrows of this alley by the height proportion. The textures of the wall, the hanging clothes. Must have certain memories to you, my friend.

NN     {K:26787} 1/19/2005
Interesting angle; the two sides of the street almost touch each other; especially the laundry/clothes :) Full of life, full of soul ~ certainly!

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 1/19/2005
A bientot Luis
Porte toi bien

emily savva   {K:21113} 1/19/2005
i really like the perspective here dear Fabrice... has such a depth and leave space for the eye to wonder from one detail to the other... indeed the tones are rich though i would prefer just a little bit more light at the front of the image so i could see clearer more details but this is propably my pc screen adjustments... the image as a composition would have been claustrophobic if it wasn?t for that smooth transition towards light at the back where the people are talking and thus make it optimistic at the end... also the choise of the location was very successful as it has a strong Meditarenean flavour... i can imagine people babbling happily from their balconies and friendships formed... great photo implying a lot of life in it! very well done... emy :)

Massimo    {K:5595} 1/19/2005

Alastair Bell   {K:29571} 1/19/2005
Fabrice you have captured the soul of continental Europe here. The intimacy, privacy and community of the small neighbourhoods. Intimacy of living on top of your neighbours, sharing life with them (and a fair amount of laundry drying too!). The community of knowing everyone and their business and caring about your own small corner of the world, but isolated almost from the larger world by the maze of alleys.

Beautifully composed with a curve to the alley to make one want to look around the corner to see who the people at the end are talking to. The people themselves lending scale to the image. Perfect exposure too... Well done mon ami!

m.c. lopez   {K:14766} 1/19/2005
eh ! That's a true Mediterranean street !

Marie Johnston   {K:1635} 1/19/2005

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30021} 1/24/2005
This one I love. What an amazing alley. The white clothes hanging at the top make it for tonal range (along with the sky), and texture. Truly great composition and perspective. Antonia

Thank you Tony, I'm pleased that you love it :)

Great job balancing the light. This is not an easy shot to pull off. I know what you mean about the warmth of yesteryear.
