Strong composition and a wonderful capture of everyday life. Certainly a good entry for the best of 2004 - after flipping though your portfolio, I like this shot most of all for the angle, and perfect capture of the moment.
Good brightness and contrast on this photo - the white dress maintains detail while the dark shadows are true blacks. Technically well done and compliments.

I agree with Tanya, you have a good eye for child-detail. I know how difficult it can be to get those details in motion right on a photo. In this one I think you got the right moment.
I sometimes also try to get those moments but I'm never really happy with the result.
